The Historic Magnolia Manor, was built by a well-known builder Jacob Holt, who built Greek revival and Italianate style houses throughout the town and region in 1779.  We collectively work hard as a team to maintain the charm and beauty of our historic property. It definitely requires a lot of upkeep, but it is worth it! We absolutely love hosting weddings and events.

What can we say about us? We are 5 siblings making it work! We all come with different backgrounds and experience that truly contributes to the success of our weddings. We take Southern Hospitality to the next level.

Meet Francois

Francois is the official owner of the historic manor. He’s the brains behind the business. He has the heart of an entrepreneur and leads a very busy life. He is also the Pastor of Revival Church in Raleigh. Oh! And he lives next door to our parents and to 3 of the siblings – plus his niece!


Meet Susan

She is the oldest of the bunch. She loves to help others in any small way that she can. Among other things, she helps take care of our housekeeping. The day of the wedding, she is a Venue Host. You will see her at the venue helping with set up, clean up, assisting the bride and groom, and guiding the guests to the ceremony . She also loves to dance, so you will most likely catch her trying to bust a move in secret on the dance floor.

Meet Caroline

Caroline is the second oldest. She is a worker bee and sweet as pie. She helps with everything imaginable. You will see her at the venue as a Host, helping our couples, assisting our vendors and she may even officiate your wedding. She is a Wedding Officiant and actually has her own thriving officiating business. Emily is her helping hand. She may be decorating, cutting magnolia leaves from our tree for centerpieces, cleaning the ceremony chairs, etc.. She pretty much helps with anything that we need for your special day.


Meet Jennifer

She is the middle sibling. She is our Sales and Event Director. When you inquire, it’s a high possibility that you will be speaking to her. She takes care of all the details for your event from start to finish. She will be your best friend for a while, well at least until your wedding is over. She has a heart to serve and it shows! She goes above and beyond to make sure your special day is flawless, memorable and up to par with your wedding vision. You will also see her bussing tables with the wait staff and asking your guests if they need anything.

Meet Michael

He’s the baby of the family. He is our Groundskeeper. He takes care of everything outdoors including the chickens. On the day of the wedding, you will see him around helping with set up and clean up and anything else that’s needed. He is our muscle on the day of your wedding.
